Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of May 2018, please be aware of the following information:
Membermojo
From 2021 and back, the club has been using Membermojo as a membership database. For more information on their security, please refer to their website, however in summary:
Paxton / ICRTouch (IOW) Ltd
From 2022 onwards, the club will be holding membership information on a secure network stored within the Club and backed up and held securely off site, still in the UK.
Additionally some membership data will be synchronized with our till system. The till system Data Controller is ICRTouch (IOW) Ltd (ICO registration number ZA061430), and this information will only be available to the Managing Committee for the purpose of analysis of client demand.

- We are the Walderslade Working Men's Club and Institute (aka Walderslade Club), of 274 Walderslade Road, ME5 0PA, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) with registration number ZA318351. Please refer to our Contacts page for more information on how to contact us by email, Facebook, or phone. If you have any concerns about the usage of your personal data, please do reach out to us.
- By becoming a member of the Walderslade Club you are providing consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes laid out on this page.
- The lawful basis for processing this information is in order to be compliant with our members license issued by the council (Article 6 1c) as well as to protect the interest of the data subject and other members through the general running of Club business (Article 6 1d).
- Your personal data will never be sold or shared with any outside agencies or marketing organisations. This information is kept for club purposes only.
- The Walderslade Club will provide you as a member, if requested, a copy of the personal data held about you. You are also encouraged to help us update your personal data on an annual basis through our renewal process.
- Additionally under GDPR you have the right to erasure, meaning that you can request for your personal data to be deleted. This will have the effect of you giving up your membership to the club. A refund of membership fees will not be issued in this instance.
- Membership records are stored in our membership systems, and also in a book. The book is disposed over after 7 years. The membership system will remove non-members after 2 years. This would be a full purge of said data.
- Full membership information is accessible by members of the Managing Committee. Basic information on members name and membership numbers are available to the door person as required.
- if you wish to make a complaint about our data policy, you may complain to the ICO.
Membermojo
From 2021 and back, the club has been using Membermojo as a membership database. For more information on their security, please refer to their website, however in summary:
- Our data is stored on servers in a modern, secure, purpose built data centre in the UK.
- All changes are mirrored across backup servers in realtime and hourly encrypted backups are sent to a second secure data centre, also in the UK.
- All hosting companies are ISO27001 certified.
- They also will never sell or trade any part of this with 3rd parties
